If it takes a village to raise a child then it takes a community architect to build an e-commerce community. And that’s exactly what Thomas Knoll does for Zappos. Thomas uses ancient scripture from the Roman architect Vitruvius E. and translates that into his work for Zappos. Say whuuuut? Okay, so, according to Vitruvius, a good building should satisfy the three principles: Durability – it should stand up robustly and remain in good condition Utility – it should be useful and function well and Beauty – it should delight people and raise their spirits. Okay, now we get it. And it’s awesome!
